Mayfield Environmental Solutions is an MBE/DBE General Contractor in Southern California specializing in assistance with Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) or Environmental Impact Studies (EIS) on developments, public works, Wetlands Protection, Watershed Protection, and brownfields. In order to keep you environmentally compliant with local, DTSC, AQMD, and Coastal Commission regulations, this may include Soil Sampling, Soil Gas Vapor monitoring (PIDs & FIDs), Radon Mitigation/NORM/Radioactive Work, Waste Characterization, and more. Let us do your Water Quality Testing for PFAS (“Forever Chemicals”), Lead, Radon Gas, and more.
Depending on local regulations, ESA Phase I entails intensive research into historical records, legal documents, and permits to determine the probability of environmental unsuitability or contamination of a property or development.
If needed, Phase II and III entail a more intensive subsurface investigation based on the preliminary findings of ESA Phase I, which may or may not include subsurface exploration, radon gas studies, soil sampling and auguring, laboratory analysis, or even drilling. If needed, we and our partners will bring Drilling rigs for geotechnical boring or subsurface investigation and sampling so we can provide detailed Soil Analytical Reports to check for contaminated soils, Oil Well Abandonment Cleanups, Leachate, BTEX, TPH (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons), CAM/Metals, VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), Lead, and more.
**Unlike almost all environmental companies,** we have the state’s rare Hazardous Substances Removal License (#833333). This means that if you find contaminated soils during your ESA investigation, you already have in-house engineers ready to excavate and haul your contaminated soil to TSDFs/Landfills while we oversee AQMD permitting, Environmental Compliance, Vapor Monitoring, and HAZMAT Manifesting from cradle to grave.
In addition, we’re one of the only companies also licensed for Stormwater/SWPPP/NPDES permitting with QSDs/QSPs and Erosion Professionals (CPESCs) on staff, meaning that we can also ensure that your project’s construction and decontamination do not have unforeseen consequences or expensive fines from the Water Board, etc..
