Mayfield Environmental Solutions is an MBE/DBE General Contractor in Southern California with decades of experience in Stormwater Pollution Prevention Planning (SWPPP & NPDES) Services, Stormwater Compliance, BMP Installations, Erosion and Runoff Mitigation, Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), Hydroseeding, Sandbag and Wattle/Compost/Geotextile installation, Inlet Protection, and Waste-Water Pumping & Dewatering services.
In California, any development over 1 square acre MUST obtain an NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) Permit from the Water Board to remain compliant with the Construction General Permit (CGP), including regular inspections by a QSP (Qualified SWPPP Practitioner) like ours.
Jobsites legally cannot certify themselves. They require a QSD (Developer) like ours to obtain a Permit. If you qualify, we will try to get you a NONA or NEC (No Exposure Certification) to avoid Inspection costs.
Otherwise, a QSP must regularly inspect your development’s BMPs (Best Management Practices) to mitigate runoff, erosion, and water pollution. These inspection reports must be posted publicly in order for you to remain compliant with the CGP and the Water Board.
We are the ONLY company in SoCal that can simultaneously offer certified SWPPP/NPDES/QSP/QISP inspections for Water Board Compliance, our own QSDs to design & certify SWPPPs, provide our own field labor to install BMPs and maintain GCP/IGP permitting, and miles of fire hose for Waste-Water Pumping and Hydroseeding. We also do Road Repair/Asphalt Patching with our QSPs’ environmental compliance in force.
We provide our own testing equipment for water quality, pH, Turbidity, TSS (Total Suspended Solids), and TMDL/NAL discharge limit exceedances to ensure compliance, which cuts down on rental costs for you.
We are also experts in Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) design and installation, being the only contractor in Southern California who can combine our landscape architecture licenses (C-27), soil management and erosion protection licenses, Water Board and stormwater licenses, and civil engineering licenses for your project.
We have the years of experience in Stormwater Management and MS4s (Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems) on multi-tiered projects, contaminated sites, and brownfields that you need to keep your development compliant with Water Board, city, and county regulations. Let us write your SWMP (Stormwater Management Plan).
We also bring the skill set for Watershed Protection & Wetlands Protection from our contracts with environmentally-sensitive Superfunds and cleanup sites, giving us unique insights and risk mitigation tools to make your project advance seamlessly.
