I lost my home in the Eaton Fire and finally got around to looking for a contractor to complete the debris removal of all the stuff the Army Corps of Engineers DIDN'T remove after the fire. This was a difficult process in its own way. It was the removal of most of my driveway, the sidewalk that led to what had been my front porch, the cement patio where I had entertained so many loved ones, miscellaneous fence posts, weeds and burned branches as well as other personal items that survived the fire itself but not it's aftereffects. James was so calm and confident in his ability to not only do the actual job but in his willingness to help me navigate his contract with the constraints of my insurance allowances. He was very competitive with his bid and actually came in under budget because he wasn't upcharging for his many licenses and certificates in hazardous waste and disposal. His crew wore full face respirators on the first day as they removed 3" of grass from my backyard lawn and they also wore safety vests. The crew was professional from start to finish and they knew what they were doing. I can't recommend Mayfield Environmental Engineering highly enough. James, Justin and the crew came into an emotionally difficult situation for me and just plain handled the situation with excellence, complete competence, and a quiet assurance that this was one job I didn't have to worry about any more. We hired Mayfield to do testing on our house because we suspected it was previously used as a meth lab. James was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process. He helped to educate us about the realistic dangers and was very practical with his advice and recommendations. Mayfield Environmental was great to work with from start to finish. The entire team was super kind, responsive, and easy to communicate with every step of the way. They did an amazing job on the remediation and made a tough process so much smoother than we expected. James and his team were so helpful to work with when we needed to to additional debris removal from our burned down property after ACE was finished. He is communicative, prompt, and very thorough.
